As the main stay brand of regulators in the UK diving scene for many years, the entire Apeks range has indeed secured itself an established place, in many of our traditional diving groups. To further add to their benefit, Apeks has introduced the stage 3 package, giving you the added benefit of an Apeks XTX40 Octo included as one set. The XTX range has now brought their size and style more up to date, offering a 25% weight saving over its predecessors. The XTX50 features a fully balanced first stage, capable of delivering a well managed and consistent air flow throughout the dive, regardless of tank pressure. It also includes the popular swivelling turret, allowing for increased freedom of movement for the diver, and complete environmental sealing. Its second stage is also fully balanced, and designed with greater diver control in mind, as it includes the diver adjustable breathing control feature. This extra control allows the diver to adjust and select the required level of breathing resistance to suit their own personal style and requirements. Additional features include 2 high pressure ports, 4 low pressure ports and a diver adjustable venturi lever.

The XTX50 regulator can be converted from a right handed hose configuration (as supplied from the APEKS factory in the standard) to a left handed one. This feature is known as the Reversible Venturi System (RVS). Changing the regulator to a left handed configuration is both quick and simple and can be performed by any APEKS Authorised Service Technician.
